COVID-19 Updates & Resources
Earned Run Property Management & COVID-19
As you know, the country is currently managing the effect of the novel coronavirus. We too will need to adjust our operations in an effort to contain the spread of the virus keeping you, your families and our employees safe.
Maintenance & Operations
-
We will be placing an emphasis on the cleaning and disinfecting of all common areas and shared surfaces of our buildings.
-
Our office staff will remain available to you by email, telephone or text message.
Illinois:
-
Maintenance orders are being addressed on a case-by-case basis, handling critical work relating to safety first. These work orders include temperature of units, water or hot water outage and disaster (flood, fire) response. Because we were not able to enter occupied units for a period of time, tenants should expect some delays for non-urgent repairs as we clear our backlog of work.
- As Illinois enters Phase 3, we are permitted to show occupied units. We are taking precautions to ensure the safety of both current and prospective tenants and staff. We are extending advance notification time to tenants, using protective gear during showings, utilizing technology for virtual showings when able, and limiting the number of people involved.
Michigan:
-
Maintenance will only respond to critical work orders relating to life safety. These work orders include temperature of units, water or hot water outage and disaster (flood, fire) response. We urge you to submit any and all work orders you see fit, but prepare to wait for normal operations to resume prior to having it addressed.
- We are not currently showing occupied units. This will be re-evaluated based upon state guidance after June 12, 2020.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times. Feel free to call us with any questions.
Financial Resources
We understand that the current situation is forcing many to be without work or income. Please understand that Earned Run Property management company is the company that manages the property you live in. Any rent concessions including extra time, waiving of late fees and or spreading payments out will need to be discussed and decided upon by ownership.
Please understand that actual eviction orders are halted however filing evictions and getting the process started is still in place. Ownership may require us to still take action in order to have judgments and eviction orders to get forcible possession immediately when the stay home order is lifted.
An effort to pay, proper documentation of everything you have applied for puts everyone in the best position to be able to work together through this process.
